This is a provisional page about the 2 Dell R710 machines.
Hardware
- Memory: 12x4GB DDR3@1333MHz
- Remote Control: iDRAC6 Enterprise
- LSI card (need to be flashed) for enable ZFS support to planned ~16TB hard drives
- Interactive LCD (Bottom R710's buttons are broken) with fault report
Machine tasks
- They will be deployed as our new backup server.
- One of them will stay on-site, sync with server clusters in real-time
- The other one will be deployed off-sit (Thank you [TRS] for negotiation), sync with on-site backup server at night time
- The twin Dells will be constructed as identical servers for easier recovery
