An fairly standard introduction to Computer Architecture. The labs (25%) are mostly benchmarking, which can be mind-numbingly boring and you can pass without them. Should you choose to do them, UCC has a wide variety of architectures available to impress your tutors with (14x400MHz UltraSparcs anyone?). The assignment is an essay on some aspect of computer architecture that interests you. The textbook is by WilliamStallings and is pretty good.

Taken by GaryBundell, tutoring and labs handled by FilipWelna.
