Folding@home is one of the world's fastest computing systems. With heightened interest in the project as a result of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, the system achieved a speed of approximately 1.22 exaFLOPS, or 2.43 x86 exaFLOPS, by April 12, 2020, making it the world's first exaFLOP computing system.

As at April 2020, the [[ClubroomDesktops]] that have Linux installed on them, had the Linux Folding@Home clients installed on them.   This was due using the [[https://gitlab.ucc.asn.au/ucc-systems/ucc-ansible-soe UCC Ansible SOE]] using the [[https://gitlab.ucc.asn.au/ucc-systems/ucc-ansible-soe/blob/master/folding-at-home.yml folding-at-home.yml]] playbook
