It's fantastic. You get to talk to a native language speaker and you have the daunting task of figuring out their language structure, grammar, synatax, phonetics/phonemics, morphology, semantics, the lot. This unit will tie together all the knowledge you've hopefully accumulated in three years of Linguistics and put it to good use.
It's a 12 point unit and it will eat all of your spare time Don't attempt to do this in conjunction with any other units unless you've got a gift at Linguistics or you are completely 200% organised. You don't want to get slip behind at all in this unit.
Past students in this unit include AdrianChadd.
