[[Kerosene]] is a Cisco Catalyst 4506-E running IOS (the *real* IOS, not the one made by the fruity company). It's configured by SSHing to kerosene.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au from inside the UCC network. Kerosene's config can also be seen at [[http://cvs.ucc.asn.au/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/rancid/ucc/configs/]]
 * All wall ports in the clubroom are connected through Kerosene
 * The gigabit uplink goes through Kerosene to a separate gigabit port on [[Murasoi]]
 * There are no POE modules installed, but we could probably get some
 * Kerosene is very heavy

SSH to it by hostname (lorenzo.ucc.asn.au) or IP (192.168.2.11). Uses its own set of passwords, so if you don't already have an account on it you'll have to ask someone who does to create one for you. Use 'show int status' to get started. == Bitumen ==

Lorenzo has eight broken interfaces. You can tell which ones are broken because they are filled with silicon filler, though this is an effect rather than a cause. [[Bitumen]] is an old Cisco Catalyst 4507R running IOS that was previously in the place of Kerosene. The config of Kerosene was lifted nearly 1:1 from Bitumen when they were swapped, only remapping ports between the different-sized line cards and accounting for the new 10G capability. Bitumen is also very heavy.

Telnet to it by hostname (olive.ucc.asn.au) or IP (130.95.13.5). Uses its own set of passwords, so if you don't already have an account on it you'll have to ask someone who does to create one for you. Try to use Lorenzo instead if at all possible, there is a vague plan to retire Olive once everything is off it. Use 'show int status' to get started.

The same model as [[Coconut]], this switch is only used for LANs. Every port is set to vlan 5, except port 1 which is a trunk port for connecting the loft cable. When it's connected to the network, you can telnet to it on palm.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au. Its config can also be seen at [[http://cvs.ucc.asn.au/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/rancid/ucc/configs/]]

Walnut

See Walnut. Its configuration is also accessible at http://cvs.ucc.asn.au/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/rancid/ucc/configs.

Curviceps

Curviceps can only be configured by via web interface, which is at http://curviceps.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au. This is on the management VLAN, which is only routed from inside the UCC. If at all possible, any machines on this switch should have either ladvd (where available) or lldpd installed so it's easier to tell what ports they're connected to.

  • Not in use any more, except for camps

Alloy

Not used anymore, except for LANs. The default IP of the Alloy, contrary to what the manual says, is 192.168.1.1. The default password is 'admin'.
