Follow-on unit from PhysicalElectronicsENGT2304. Covers quantum mechanics, semiconductors, optronics, stuff like that. This unit is difficult, but probably less boring than power and machines (unit link?).

In 2006 there were two tests and an assignment. You were also marked for handing in tutorials, but not whether you got them correct or not. The assignment was a group project requiring you to design a quantum well infrared semiconductor (I assume this changes from year to year).
