Assassins
Players are given a name badge for themselves, the name of their target, and a clothes peg..
Assassination is achieved by attaching the clothes peg to the target..
If Successful, the assassin gets their victim's target.
Players are only valid targets if they are wearing their name badges.
Players were allowed to remove their name badge to play other games.
Book Club
Organised by UniSFA
Book Club is more a discussion forum for book themes. (No required reading)
LARP
Organised by Unigames
Live Action Role Play.
Unigames provided some LARP Swords, in the form of pool noodles, and ran a variety of scenarios.
LAN & Consoles
Organised by UCC
UCC provided some equipment to host game servers, create a wifi network, and Set up the Vive.
Attendees also contributed by providing a Nintendo Switch Set Up
Over Camp, the following were running:
- UCC Vive,
- Minecraft Server,
- Super Smash Bros. and One, Two, Switch!
Quiz Night
A low stakes quiz night, focused on the three clubs.
Like Cameron Hall Quiz Night, but much less pressure
This was written and presented by a sub-sub-committee
Board Games
Organised by Unigames
Unigames bought with them some choice Boardgames to be played during the day.
Oneshots
Organised by Unigames
If you wanted to run or be a part of a TTRPG oneshot, this was the time to organise it.
GMs would post their game on the whiteboard at any point during camp.
Tech/TED Talks
Organised by all three clubs
These were an opportunity to talk about your passion projects.
The format was a loose form debate, where you could put a statement on the whiteboard, and be for or against it.
Highlights included:
- UCC needs a roof.
- SKUB
- The Silmarilion is required reading in Fantasy.
Cleaning
We are not monsters, we try and clean up the space as best we can before leaving at 10am.
An early start is enforced, typically at 8am.
Organisation
Each Club contributed 3 members to a subcommittee.
Due to Camp being more work than other events, it is recommended that the Club President or Vice President be on the subcommittee.
It is also recommended that subcommittee include a clubs Fresher Rep, or another committee member who will be with the club in future. This makes it easier for information to be passed on.
Subcommitte Regulations can be found here:
https://www.ucc.asn.au/infobase/policies/subcommittee_regulations_20180918.pdf
The Camp Requires the following roles:
- UWA Student Guild requires two Camp Leaders.
We put three camp leaders down (the Club Presidents)
- - In order to serve Alcohol, We had a Roster of Two RSAs per Evening.
Minutes
Below is a link to a google drive folder containing the Subcommittee Minutes
Minutes of Joint Camp 2020
For Next Time
Based on feedback from Camp, the subcommittee would probably do the following things differently.
Feedback
Feedback was generally positive.
Joint Camp provided an opportunity to be exposed to the best parts of the clubs.
There is a big review of the event in the post camp minutes.
This includes covering events specifically, and deep dives on aspects of camp.
Shift the Itinerary
LAN didn't really get moving as it was set up late on Saturday.
Similarly, Book Club lacked some energy, due to being on the first night.
Attendees were tired from travel and set up, and noise levels were harder to manage on the first night.
Our updated Itinerary would have been this:

Saturday |

Meals
There was a lot of pressure put on our head chef, and some feedback about the meals stated they were 'Soupy'.
We can resolve this by having people responsible for specific meals, and by having a simple recipe guide for our meals.
Just because its simple food, doesn't mean that it will be flawless.
We also could have set better expectations regarding portions.
Some food went very quickly, and that was due to some attendees taking generous first serves.
For Next Time, we should set better guidelines about how much food to grab on your first run through, and when it is acceptable to go up for seconds.
Venue
Spinnaker was a good venue, that afforded a couple of luxuries.
This included having a Dish washer, some cleaning services after we left, Pillows and mattress sheets.
Spinnaker is also due for a revamp (Ern Halliday Master Plan)
Ern Halliday has a Self Catering Fee that the subcommittee wasn't aware in our budgeting.
Thankfully, Ern Halliday removed this fee for us, because it didn't appear in our quote.
We must be aware of this fee if we want to book Ern Halliday again, as they WILL NOT COVER THIS COST AGAIN.
